Rahnda Rize

Rahnda Rize is a multidisciplinary performance based artist who hails from Philadelphia, PA. In addition to being an artist, she is an arts facilitator, event organizer/host, and an art for social change agent who advocates for the self-esteem, well-being and representation of Black women and girls. Her social service advocacy work has led her to work with various organizations and youth programs throughout the city of Philadelphia, giving her the opportunity to create programs that nourish and uplift communities of color from an arts, wellness and trauma-informed lens. Possessing a diverse arsenal of electrifying talent, this Soul Sista has a powerful stage presence that is meant to be seen! Not only is she a powerful vocalist and actress, she is a songwriter, poet and trained dancer. Dedicated to bringing depth and integrity to the stage, her dynamic artistry has been featured all over the city of Philadelphia and beyond, gracing some of the most prestigious stages that the city has to offer. Her musical, dramatic and poetic works have been seen at such notable institutions as the Prince Music Theatre, Freedom Theatre, World Café Live, The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts, The African American Museum of Philadelphia and outside of Philadelphia at the National Black Theatre of Harlem to name a few. In addition to being a published poet and an up and coming soul music artist, she is a graduate of Temple University's School of Broadcasting and Communications, and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Art & Black Cultural Studies with a concentration in Performance Creation at Goddard College. She is a recipient of the 2023 Black Music City grant which she was awarded for her upcoming short performance film project Song of A Soul Sistah: We Sing A Black Girl's Song Philly Tribute to Ntozake ShangeHer passion is the performing arts and her mission is to use her artistry as a platform to educate, inspire, heal and touch lives.
