Rahnda Rize is a Multidisciplinary Performing Artist (Singer/Songwriter, Poet, Actor, and Dancer) who hails from Philadelphia, PA. In addition to being an artist, she is an arts facilitator, cultural producer, and an art for social change agent who advocates for the well-being and representation of Black women & girls. Her social service advocacy work has led her to work with various organizations and youth programs throughout the city of Philadelphia, giving her the opportunity to create programs that nourish and uplift communities of color from an arts, wellness and trauma-informed lens. Dedicated to bringing depth and integrity to the stage, her dynamic artistry has been featured all over the city of Philadelphia and beyond, gracing some of the most prestigious stages that the city has to offer. Her musical, dramatic and poetic works have been seen at such notable institutions as the Prince Music Theatre, Freedom Theatre, World Café Live, The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts, The African American Museum of Philadelphia and outside of Philadelphia at the National Black Theatre of Harlem to name a few. She is a member of the For Women Poetry Collective, a featured poet in the book Philly Jawns: For Women Revisited, A 20+20 Poetry Anthology in Tribute to Nina Simone, a recipient of the 2023 Black Music City grant funded through the William Penn Foundation for her short performance film project Song of A Soul Sistah: We Sing a Black Girl’s Song Philly Tribute to Ntozake, and a 2024 alumni of the prestigious Furious Flower Poetry Conference. She holds a BA in Communications from Temple University, and is a 2025 MFA candidate in Interdisciplinary Art & Black Cultural Studies at Point Park University. Possessing a diverse arsenal of electrifying talent, her mission is to use her artistry as a form of protest and celebration that honors and uplifts the Black cultural experience in America.
